The Johnny Berens ferry near Wrigley is operating normal hours from 9:00 - 11:00 and from 2:00 - 7:45 pm daily. Interruptions or delays may occur due to work being conducted on the landings. Caution should be used on the landing and approaches as they are slippery and soft. |

Vehicles crossing the Mackenzie River will be able to cross on the Deh Cho Bridge as of November 30, 2012. The Merv Hardie ferry near Fort Providence is OFFICIALLY SHUT DOWN AS OF NOVEMBER 30, 2012.
BISON ALERT
Be aware that bison can be found anywhere along Highway 3 starting 30 kilometers from Yellowknife through to the Mackenzie River. Drive according to weather and road conditions, and do not overdrive your headlights so that you are able to respond in time if a bison is on the road ahead of you.
Watch for bison.

The Peel River Cable Ferry, Km 74, Dempster Highway (No 8) and the Arctic Red River at km 143 are in daily operation from 9:00 am to 1:00 am.

The Peel River ferry at km74, Dempster Highway No 8 and the Arctic Red River at km 143 are in daily operation from 9:00 am to 1:00 am.
For the Arctic Red River Ferry, the first trip from the Inuvik shore will be at 9:30 AM, from the Fort McPherson shore at 9:40 AM and from the Tsiigehtchic shore at 9:50 AM. The last trip from the Inuvik shore will be at midnight, from the Fort McPherson shore at 12:30 AM, and from the Tsiigehtchic shore at 12:40 AM.
Delays will be expected due to soft landings. |
