Children's Activity Book
The Department of Transportation has produced a Children's Activity Book to promote Transportation safety to young children age 3-9. Using illustrations from NWT artist Janet Pacey, the book is designed as an activity / colouring book to promote travel safety messages. Available in English as "The Super Safety Squad Activity Book" or in French as "La Super brigade de la sécurité Cahier d’activités," the book is the result of a collaboration between the Department of Transportation's Drive Alive program and Northern stores. It is available at community health centres and RCMP detachments throughout the NWT.

The book has songs and activities which reinforce the following safety messages:
    • When riding your bike, be careful so you don't get hurt
    • Wear your helmet to keep your head safe
    • A life jacket will protect you when you’re around the water.
    • Seat belts protect you if a crash happens
    • You cannot be too prepared when travelling.
    • Let someone know when to expect you.
