Highway 4 Realignment
The Ingraham Trail was realigned to improve safety and accommodate the critical freezing infrastructure required for the underground storage vaults which is a necessary part of the Giant Mine Remediation Project.
Construction began in 2012 and the new alignment opened to traffic in January 2014. Some work continued in 2014.
The project budget was $17 million. This included costs for engineering studies, design, construction activities, project administration and other related site work. The project is expected to be completed on budget.
