Drive Alive!

In almost every instance, collisions, injuries and fatalities are preventable. Drive Alive to keep our territory's roads as safe as possible. We owe it to each other.

Drive Alive! has five key themes

1. Drive according to conditions, at speeds appropriate for the road, trail, or waterway
2. Give driving your full attention – do not operate a vehicle, ATV, snowmobile, or boat while distracted or impaired, and do not be a passenger if the driver is unable to give full attention to his or her driving
3. Wear or use appropriate safety equipment: helmets, life jackets, seat belts, properly installed child restraints, electronic stability control
4. Prepare for the unexpected, and be ready to respond to changing weather, road conditions or wildlife on the road: check road bulletins, pack emergency equipment, bring along communications equipment, let someone know your plans
5. We can all do more to reduce the risk of injury or fatalities when travelling
